Coalition Summary:
The newly created Onondaga County Elder Identity Theft Coalition brings together professional service providers- including aging services providers, adult protective services, victim service providers, law enforcement, criminal justice, financial institutions, and other community partners- to share information, collaborate, and coordinate resources and services around elder abuse and exploitation, scams, identity theft education, and prevention in Onondaga County. The Coalition meets monthly and has several goals including outreach to older adults, training of service professionals and law enforcement, and victim support and services.
