Coalition Summary:

The goal of the New Mexico Office of the Attorney General’s (NMOAG) Identity Theft Coalition is to provide statewide assistance programs for victims of identity theft and cybercrimes. The NMOAG will leverage our extensive list of statewide partners to build a comprehensive coalition dedicated to improving its members’ assistance and outreach to victims.

As the coalition leader, the NMOAG will design and execute, based on best practices, a long-term training, outreach, and assistance network. The coalition will focus on the three primary goals outlined in the grant funding proposal. They include community outreach and public awareness campaigns; improved inter-agency infrastructure, coordination, and referrals; and education and training of service professionals statewide. In addition, the Identity Theft Resource Center (ITRC) will provide custom support and assistance packages which our coalition will utilize to accomplish all goals.
